The Solomon R. Guggenheim museum in New York City recently celebrated it's 50th anniversary. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, this was one of his last projects before he died in 1959. The building is quite unique, using a spiral ramp running from the bottom to the top as the primary gallery space. The building was recently renovated and it shows. This image is a some abstract interpretation which highlights the unique character of the museum. Copyright © 2009 James W. Howe - All rights reserved
