Burton Tower
This is Burton Tower, a bell tower located on Central Campus at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. The tower was built in 1936 as a memorial to University President Marion Leroy Burton. The design of the tower is a mixture of Art Deco and Art Moderne and the design was greatly influenced by noted architect Eliel Saarinen. The top of the tower is the 43-ton, 55-bell Baird Carillon.
