Chrysler Building Crown
This shot shows the top floors of the Chrysler Building in New York City. Designed by architect William Van Alen the design consists of seven radiating terraced arches in a cruciform groin vault. The arches are constructed into seven concentric members with transitioning setbacks, mounted up one behind another. The entire crown is clad with silvery metal known as "Enduro KA-2".
