This is a shot of the State Theater in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The building is located near the central campus of The University of Michigan. The theater was built in 1942 and was designed by architect C. Howard Crane. Crane was also the architect of the Fox Theater in Detroit, Michigan. This shot shows some of the interesting detail in the brickwork which constitutes the front facade of the building. The shot was taken in the afternoon which resulted in the strong shadow cast by the texture of the facade.
